Paper Census

Only those who have not got counted (enumerated) online were filling in (completing) the paper census form (questionnaire) from 17 April to 11 May. They obtained the paper census form (questionnaire) from the census officers (census enumerators) or at contact points of the Census.

Processing of results

It is difficult to process an entire data source from the largest statistical survey in the country. Thoroughly secured information systems are used to process this data. After verifying the quality of the ensus forms and linking the necessary information from the state’s databases to the filled in data, the answers are coded according to classifications and nomenclatures. After that, the processing and aggregation of statistical data takes place.

Publication of results

In January 2022, the CZSO published the first results of the 2021 Census with basic information on the population and houses (buildings) down to the level of Regions. Further outputs will be published after they are processed.
